Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 28, 2026
This policy describes what information is handled when you read biofoundations.org, how the operator uses it and what choices you have. The operator is the person or organisation that runs Biofoundations, and in this text it is also called we.
Why health readers deserve extra care
People often read about memory, medication, supplements or aging because of something personal. We treat your reading activity as potentially sensitive, we do not ask you to describe your health in order to read an article, and we do not try to build profiles of your medical interests.
Visit logs
The servers that deliver Biofoundations record routine technical details of each request: your IP address, the time, the address of the article opened, the browser and device in use, and the page you came from. These records help us keep the site online, investigate errors and abuse, and see in broad terms which pieces on natural health, brain health and healthy aging attract readers.
Cookies and similar technology
Biofoundations may place small files or use browser storage on your device. A few keep pages working as intended. Others, where switched on, count audience numbers, remember a setting, support advertising, or record which link led a visitor to a supplement retailer or book seller for affiliate attribution. Files set by outside providers fall under those providers’ own privacy notices.
Controlling tracking in your browser
You can block or clear cookies, use private browsing, or add tools that limit tracking. Where your browser sends a do-not-track or global privacy signal, we will treat it as an opt-out request where the technology we use allows it. If you block everything, some features, such as remembered preferences, may stop working.
Emails and forms
If you write to [email protected], we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include. Your message is used to reply, to check and fix an article if you point out a problem, and to remember what was already discussed. Please keep personal health details out of your messages; if you share them, they are used only to respond. Nothing you send is sold, and nothing is quoted publicly unless you agree first.
Newsletters
Should a newsletter or sign-up form appear on the site, the address you enter is used for the mailings you chose and nothing else. An unsubscribe route is included in every issue, and an email to us asking to be taken off the list works just as well.
Outside services
Operating a health publication involves outside providers, which may include hosting and delivery networks, analytics tools, advertising and affiliate networks, and embedded videos or other media. They may receive technical information about your visit so their service can function, and they act under their own privacy terms.
Retention
Raw visit records are kept only for a short working period before they are erased or collapsed into counts that identify nobody. Emails stay in the inbox while they are still useful for replying, correcting a health article or meeting a legal duty, and are then removed.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may be entitled to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to object to certain uses and to withdraw consent. To make a request, email [email protected] and say what you would like done. Before acting we may ask you to prove the request is yours, and we will answer within the period set by the law that applies to you.
Children
Biofoundations is written for adults interested in their own wellbeing and that of older relatives. Children under 13 are not its audience, and we have no wish to gather information about them. If a parent or guardian finds that a child has emailed us, a note to the address above will lead to the message being deleted.
Security
Protection measures include encrypted connections to the site and keeping the inbox reachable by as few people as possible. Even so, no service on the internet can be made entirely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute protection.
International transfers
Providers that support the site may process data in other countries, where privacy rules can differ from those where you live. Using Biofoundations means your information may travel in this way.
Changes to this policy
This policy will be edited when the way the site handles data changes or when the law requires it. The effective date above shows when the current version began, and continuing to read Biofoundations after an update means you accept it.
